A beautiful place with a tragic history. In the Memorial museum is a copy of every letter sent to the leader of a country after they had carried out an experiment involving nuclear weapons by the Mayor of Hiroshima. They are not templates or mail merged. Every single one is a heartfelt plea to rid the world of the threat of nuclear war. There nearly 600 replica letters on the walls of the museum in response to the experiments since the bombing, with the most recent being in November 2010, to Barack Obama.
