Kanazawa Temple pics.

I can not for the life of me remember what this place was called, but it was epic, beautiful and really really crowded! I will ask my tour guide. If anyone is planning to come to Japan, I fully recommend this place though… http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e4205.html it was seriously like walking through a dungeon from a zelda…

Going back in time…

Hi. I’m still here! It is a bit quiet on the ‘touristy’ side of things I’m afraid, due to the new school year starting. Things have gone pretty busy recently, so rather than leave this for a while, I have decided to dig out some old pics. Some of you may remember I came to…

Game 10 and more…

At school today we had a fire/earthquake drill… pretty surreal and alarmingly more apparent considering the recent events. In other news, I managed to get my last 2 SNES games to work, all it took was a swift tap and a blow (how many times have I said that…!) ANYWAY! moving swiftly on, I am…

hanami and the raining milk…

Today, I (reluctantly) put down the controller and ventured outside to take some pictures of the sakura blooming at a nearby shrine in Mishima. Part of me is slightly dissappointed it wasn’t sunny, but the atmosphere was nonetheless great. I also told a toddler that my okinomiaki was yummy! ‘whats raining milk got to do…

My new(ish) toy…

So… I finally gave in. After nearly 20 years of ‘I want one’, umming and arring, financial hardship and TRYING to grow up, I went and bought a Super Nintendo (or Super Famicom in  Japan). For the record, it is AWESOME! I got a few games that I have always wanted, the rest can wait…

100 days in Japan- the awards edition.

My ‘Journal lite’ page now has an awards presentation (of sorts) highlighting my most memorable things and experiences from my first 100 days living and working in Japan. And It doesn’t even mention the 18 metre high Gundam! SHOCKING! Enjoy!

First day back at school.

Feels great to be back! Some old faces, some new. I can’t wait to see last years roku-nensei kids at Junior High School! I am currently deliberating which game to write about next, do some proper art work and update my journal… as well as some preparation for school tomorrow!

You lucky people!

Photos from Hiroshima etc are up, along with my lover letter to all things Kong and some quick arty things. Back to school tomorrow, so I will do my best to update when I can!
